It was only when she met her husband, singer Rodd Peters, that she was introduced to the world of 1960s pop, and a whole new world opened up for her.
"I felt incredibly lucky to discover this music as an adult," Bev shares. "It's like I was given a second chance to experience the joy and freedom that these songs represent." This sentiment is echoed by other band members, who believe that music has the power to unlock treasured memories and transport us back to the carefree days of our youth.
A Chance to Give Back
As the band prepares for their biggest gig yet at the Stockport Plaza, they are not only looking forward to performing for an audience of over 1000, but also to making a meaningful impact. All profits from the show will go directly to the Alzheimer's Society, a cause close to the heart of singer Carol Beardmore, whose daughter was diagnosed with early Alzheimer's in 2019.
"This gig is a way for us to give back and raise awareness," Carol explains. "Music has been a source of comfort and joy for us, and we want to share that with others who may be going through difficult times." The band's enthusiasm and dedication to their cause are truly inspiring, and it's a testament to the positive impact that music can have on our lives and communities.
