Jack Miller's High Praise for Yamaha M1: A Special Motorcycle
Pramac MotoGP rider Jack Miller has heaped praise on the Yamaha M1, calling it a "special motorcycle" that rates highly among the bikes he has raced in the premier class. With a wealth of experience in MotoGP, having ridden Honda, Ducati, KTM, and now Yamaha, Miller's transition to the M1 marked his first season on an inline-four bike in MotoGP.
Despite a mixed campaign in 2025, with a best finish of fifth at the Americas Grand Prix and 17th in the standings, Miller was enthused about the M1's front-end performance throughout the year. When asked to rate the Yamaha compared to other bikes he has ridden, Miller described it as a "good motorcycle" and a "special motorcycle" that stands out in his career.
"It's a good motorcycle," he said. "It's different eras and different times. The times we are doing now on this bike, three years ago, it's null and void. Every year we go faster and faster. So, it's cool to be on this bike, obviously, you know the strengths and weaknesses of it. There are some areas where I’d like to improve, for sure, as we all do. But it rates pretty high up there. The M1 is a pretty special motorcycle. I’m very fortunate to be able to ride it."
Miller's positive feedback comes despite the M1 not being a bike suited to his riding style. However, he and his team have made it work, achieving strong results and some disappointing ones. Miller will remain with Pramac for the 2026 season, where he will help develop Yamaha's new V4 bike, marking a significant step in his career.
His vast experience with V4 machinery played a crucial role in securing a contract extension with Pramac, as he faces an uncertain future in the early part of 2025. Miller will partner with three-time World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, and his experience will be instrumental in helping the Turkish superstar adapt to the new bike.
